JOTUNHEIMEN MOUNTAINS AND SOGNEFJORD
The bus drive through the Norwegian mountains followed by the Sognefjord Cruise was certainly the prettiest day of the trip. Took my breath away.
LILLEHAMMER
We had a brief stop in Lillehammer to visit Maihaugen, an open air folk museum.
OSLO
Another beautiful capital city, Oslo is an urban place with wide open spaces. My favorite city site of the trip is Vigeland Park. The sculptures touchingly capture the joy and pain of each life stage. I only included half of my photos.
ÆRØSKØBING
A vacation from our vacation, this charming wedding town on an island really delivered.
ROSKILDE
We stopped here for a visit to the Viking Museum and lunch on the way to Ærø.
COPENHAGEN
This great capital city is a hive of activity. Great history, great culture, great food. We had time together and time on our own.
KALMAR
On the way to Kalmar we stopped in Soderkopping for lunch. Kalmar is home to a Renaissance style castle and the historical Kalmar union.
STOCKHOLM
Stockholm is my favorite city I have ever been to. One third city, 1/3 park, 1/3 water. History, beauty, efficiency, what else do you need?
