FINAL THOUGHTS
I enjoyed my RSE guided tour so much that I have already booked the next one. I will be taking "Best of Italy in 17 Days" in 2018. This style of travel fits me perfectly. There are a variety of itineraries, excellent guides, a back door philosophy, interesting and well behaved travel companions, plenty of time to explore on my own, and all with very little stress. Before I took this tour I had a lot of questions about the details of the tour. I hope my scrapbook will answer some of yours.
OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF
Read the Packing Section of the Rick Steves Travel Forum to learn how to pack light.
Pack Light
I walked over 100 miles during my trip. Your mileage may vary, but get fit and wear good shoes.

Your trip will be more enjoyable if you do a little research. Read guide books, learn some of the language, join the travel forum.
Do Your Research
My scrapbook is organized so that you can see what a Rick Steves tour is like. There are a lot of photos and not so much text. I am focusing on the tour experience and not the history of the region. Click on the section you want to learn about. Click on photos to enlarge them and to view each separately (Some of the photo gets chopped off in the slide show). Hover on each photo to read captions. All photos were taken with my Pixel phone.

Welcome to my Rick Steves' Best of Scandinavia in 14 days tour scrapbook. I had such a great time on my guided tour and I would like to share with you the advantages of this style of European travel. I am a 52 year old solo female traveler and my goal was to visit Scandinavia for the following reasons: I have Nordic ancestry, I love Nordic Noir film/TV shows, I have an interest in Viking history , and I love beautiful vistas. I wanted a tour that provided a lot of historical and cultural information and that was active. After scouring the internet for a tour company that matched my wants, I chose Rick Steves' Europe (RSE). Find tour here.
I was able to prepare for my trip by reading all of the detailed information on the Rick Steves website. I learned about packing, buying airline tickets, how to use public transportation, and favorite sites to visit on the travel forum. I highly recommend this forum for tips, whatever type of European travel you choose.
